My gaming machines - Then and now PS2 vs PS4 On the PS2 online gaming was done very differently and very rarely, now a days, on the PS4, the console is pretty much always online, gaining access to online gaming and other media, such as Netflix. The PS2 was released: 4th March 2000 The PS4 was released: 15th November 2013 The PS2 was memorable to me because of the amount of amazing games the system had, such as God of war, spyro, timesplitters and final fantasy just to name a few. There really isn't much negatives to the systems, except having to pay for PS plus on PS4. Video Ram: 8mb vs 8gb Memory: 32mb vs 8gb Cores: 1 core vs 4 cores GPU speed: 150MHz vs 800MHz
